ST. JOHN’S IS GOING PAPERLESS!

Beginning July 1, 2009, St. John’s will be making a conscious effort to be good stewards of the gifts God has given to us.  Paper, styrofoam, and throw away plastic products will no longer be provided for use in our facility.  Hopefully, this will be a simple change since we have all the dishes, cups, etc. in the kitchen and have the dishwasher to make clean-up easy.

CHURCH CLEANERS STILL NEEDED – We are still in need of cleaning people for the month of February.  It is only about and hour of you time for one month of the year.  This is a great service for the church and it gives you an hour of time with God with no distractions.  Call Flo Miller at 667-6823 if you can help in February.

A MOTHER’S LOVE

A mother's love determines how
We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see
Not lit by that first love.

Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.

How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift--a love of life--
Lay laughing in your eyes.

Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile;
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress.
