HOME EUCHARIST

If you are unable to attend mass this week and would like to receive the Eucharist, call the Parish Office at 667-3419 before 3:30 on Friday or call Ann Fallert @ 667-3416 or Lavonne Fleming @ 667-7313 on Saturday and arrangements will be made for home communion.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with those serving our country at this time and with their loved ones at home.  We pray for a safe homecoming and that the world may one day be at peace.

NOTICE – We will not be taking intentions for daily or Sunday mass until further notice.  We have had an unusual number of deaths this year and the mass intentions are more than Father can fulfill this year.  We will only take mass intentions for members of the parish that have passed away recently.

The room for the meeting will be announced later.  This is an opportunity to spend time with other parents in learning and discussion about prayer and prayer forms.  It is also a great example for your children.  It would be great if you could attend all six sessions, however come when you can, it’s okay!

A Sneak Preview of "Catholicism"

Fr. Robert Barron of WordOnFire.org is developing The "Catholicism" Project. A landmark, ten-part series for TV and DVD about what Catholics believe and why. Please take a "sneak peek" at the first episode based on our pilgrimage to the Holy Land in June.

This epic series will be one of the most innovative productions ever to promote the Catholic faith to the world. “Our plan is to go from Jerusalem to Rome to Mexico City and beyond - and use art, architecture, literature, music and all the riches of the Catholic tradition to tell an inspiring story and draw people into the faith.” Go to the above web site to see the Catholicism trailer.

RCIA UPDATE- The topic of our September 11 session was Conversion.  Dan Thomas led the group through a process of creating timelines of our lives.  Each person had an opportunity to share their milestones (good and bad) in their life so far.  As we reflected on our timelines it was interesting to find some whose timeline started and ended with family as the center of their lives while others found that their life "began" or become more full as they created their own families.  Dan shared a story about conversion and St. Augustine called "Augustine, the Sinner Who Became a Saint".  We ended our session by reviewing an outline of the RCIA process.  It's not too late to join us.  Please contact Dan Thomas or the Parish Office for dates and times of meetings.

THANK YOU from the Jean R. Cadet Restavec Foundation for the generous donation of $593.49 collected during Vacation Bible School.  Your support is greatly appreciated and will go towards funding programs that help Haitian restavec children receive the dignity they are so often denied.

CONGRATULATIONS DAN!
